Why NACMU started his own school.
The level of education in Uganda is very low. That makes it very hard to guarantee the children good learning facilities. Besides that, Uganda is lacking schools. Enough reasons For NACMU to start our own school, so our children and those from the surrounding villages can benefit from a good education and therefore have a change for the furture.

Noah’s Ark is surrounded by seven villages. Only one of them owns a school. Most of the families are very poor. They have no access to medical care, clean drinking water and sanitation. The children of Noah’s Ark are compared to them, very privileged and we want them to know and learn about the life outside their own little world. That is why the children of the villages not only will attend school, but also learn a better way of living in which education, medical care, clean drinking water, sanitation and balanced food, is common.

School includes parents and caretakers
Parents and caretakers need to participate. The teachers en social workers will visit them in order to approve the situation at home. Things like combing hair, hygiene, the use of clean drinking water, are also very important to learn, so the children will take this with them to their families. Besides that, the parents are asked to help with mow the grass, clean the school and the square, repair things if necessary and preparing the food. In the after school-hours they are offered the opportunity to learn to read and write. Most of them are illiterate. We are using all our efforts to approve the situation through the kids. It is not only a school that is needed, but also a good environment.

Practical education
We try to achieve the most practical way of educating. For our teachers, that is not a common way, so we will start teaching our selves in the first weeks. We learn the teachers how to use the practical methods and how they must use the materials. We also show the importance of the class in a teaching environment.

Children are Ugandas future
It is our goal to recruite the children who live in a very poor and hopeless situation. Therefore we need your sponsorship for every single child. If we are not able to sponsor them all, our school is not going to work. We are aware, that we did not chose the easiest way, but we try to go the right way. Uganda’s future lays in the hands of its children. If we don’t teach them how to explore this future, there is not much hope left for them and this country.
