Welcome

Piet en Pita met de kinderen

Piet and Pita have been working in Uganda since 1996, where they were confronted with an endless stream of orphans; Uganda has 3.4 million orphans.

After a brief leave of absence, which they spent in The Netherlands, Piet and Pita returned to Uganda in 2000, with the intention to build a shelter home for the youngest of orphaned children.

This came to be a home for children who had lost their parents to war, AIDS, malaria and also for children who were abandoned. Their desire was to give them a warm home.

To Piet and Pita, faith and taking action were inseparable. This is reflected in their desire to raise these children with Christian norms and values. They can only give a warm home to a limited number of children. Arrangements had been made in a large house where the fulfillment of their dream would get a start, and so they have named it Noah's Ark Children's Home. There they offer shelter and love for those who are truly the weakest.

Several children have found a place at Noah's Ark Children's home. The most unimaginable things have happened before they arrived. "Whoever receives a child in My name receives Me" (Matt. 18:15); or as Piet and Pita would say,"Now they are our children, but God is the Father of the orphans."

We would like to let you know who they all are and how they are doing in Uganda at Noah's Ark Children's Home.

Greetings from the board of the foundation of Noah's Ark Children's Ministry Uganda
