Noah's Ark Family Clinic

The Noah's Ark Family Clinic was started in September of 2009. Medical care is provided to children from the Children's Home as well to the locals living in the villages surrounding Noah's Ark. The clinic can treat minor injuries and common diseases in Uganda like malaria, typhoid and flu. The prices of treatment and medication are kept as low as possible to allow more people to seek medical care.

The Family Clinic mainly focuses on pregnant women and young children, so a great number of the staff is female. The doctor (general practitioner) lives on the compound and is available 24/7. The clinic also offers laboratory services and a pharmacy and houses a delivery room, several wards for overnight staying and a malnutrition unit.

Malnutrition Unit

Noah's Ark encountered more and more severely malnourished children (for example Nelima) and decided to act. Together with the government hospital in Kampala a Malnutrition Unit was started in 2013.
